Room for Change...Kellyn's big girl bed and new playroom

I decided to post some pics of Kellyn's bedroom and new playroom. Kellyn is now in a big girl bed!! She has done so well! While Al was putting it together she ran up to the headboard and hugged it saying "I love my bed". Too cute! Anyway...here is a pic as you enter her room. I can not bring myself to remove the rocker. We still read together every night and rock. It's our special time!

Kellyn's big girl bed. Kellyn hates getting into the sheets or using the duvet, so you can't really see how cute it is. I keep it folded at the end of her bed for now. Tommy the turtle and Georgie the frog sleep with her every night.

Kellyn's closet door. haha... Actually, Amy this picture is for you so you can see where we put the growth chart. Kellyn loves it! She grew an inch from June 22-Aug 23. WOW!

Standing in front of the closet door.

Can you guess what this is??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Don't get excited...it's just Kellyn's old playroom. I couldn't bring myself to take down the crib yet so Al moved it into the empty room so I could stare at it. haha!

Kellyn's new playroom. The dining room has been a playroom for a little over a month now, however, it is finally done. Here is the view from the kitchen.

I absolutely love the play table. It grows with Kellyn. It has different length legs to change as she grows. It also has a roll of paper that you pull over the top to color or draw on. There are storage bins underneath that are perfect for toys or blocks. As you have seen in my previous blog, Kellyn loves to sit in the bins!

I don't think Kellyn has enough toys! haha

The purple square on the wall is a chalkboard. I ordered several 9x12 peel and stick pieces to create one big chalkboard. Kellyn hasn't mastered staying on the chalkboard. She likes to take her chalk and color her dolls, pillows, play food..etc.

I also bought some flower and animal vinyl wall decals. Kellyn loves them and they add a little color and fun to the room.

Adorable rooms! Don't worry, we just took the rocking chair out of Kailyn's room about 6 months ago.. and she's 4!

Kellyn's room looks great, and that playroom is amazing! I'll need to get some tips from you about getting the child to stay in the big bed. James is still in his crib, but I know our days are numbered. Have a great weekend!

Wow!! Those rooms look so incredible - you should come decorate my house! I love them and absolutely love reading your blog. The Sprite story and mental pic of you holding your hand under the table to catch spills is hilarious!!
