Kellyn wasn't quite tall enough to reach deep enough into the water to touch the sting rays...but she loved trying!
The penguins were so much fun to watch! She laughed and giggled while watching them hop around and swim.
Oh the huge ocean tank was amazing! She LOVED the big sharks and didn't want to move away from the tank. We literally had to drag her away!
Kellyn and I in the crab "look out" tube. She didn't want to crawl into it alone so of course I went in with her. It was really neat but the huge crab (behind my head) at the back of the tank scared her.
To say that Kellyn is obsessed with the movie Nemo...well it might be an understatement. We pretty much watch it every day. She cries everytime Nemo is caught by the diver! This fish tank had several Nemos in it. We stood at this tank for quite a long time!
Extremely happy to have spotted Nemo!
Kellyn wanted a baby penguin from the Ocean life gift shop. She named it baby Kellyn :-) Adios ocean life....on to the Freshwater portion of the Aquarium!
Of course I had to have a picture of Kellyn and Daddy in front of this giant replica of an ancient turtle shell.
Kellyn had to have a little break from all the walking. I am actually surprised I have a picture of her smiling in this part of the adventure. Ocean life...oh what fun! Fresh water life....total and complete meltdown. Kellyn became cranky and wouldn't listen to anything we asked her to do. So we literally ran through the Fresh water portion of the aquarium. As I see it, you've seen one bass...you've seen them all..hehe!
We made it through lunch and actually had a wonderful time. We went to TGI Fridays and the decorations on the walls kept Kellyn completely entertained that we were all able to enjoy! After lunch we headed to the Childrens Discovery Museum that is conveniently located around the corner from the Aquarium. What an awesome adventure for children! Kellyn loved every single room in this place..and so did Al and I!
Here is Kellyn catching a few fish for Daddy. Oh he was so proud :-)
We entered a room that was for children up to 4 years of age only. It was Kellyn's favorite area of the museum. There was a garage equipped with tools and this red car. She's learning to drive a little early!
In this same area there was the little yellow house. Oh my gosh it is truly amazing! It has a huge kitchen that is all scaled to a childs height. There was even a picnic table outside of the house and tons of play food and dishes. Kellyn went right to cooking!
Is my child money hungry or what? She pulled open the drawer on the cash register and starting taking it all out.
My child loves monkeys! They had an entire Curious George exhibit set up on the top floor of the museum. She had a blast!
We had to make one more stop at the little yellow house before leaving. Kellyn had to get a little "fake snack".
She also had to slide down the tree house slide with this broom about 20 times before we drug her out!Another day of vacation.....OFF to the Zoo......
At the entrance of the zoo there are several Macaws. Kellyn enjoyed them squawking at her!
My precious baby giraffe!
Do you think my child is upset that I keep taking pictures of her? No matter how many dirty looks I receive, I will never stop! She does look completely adorable in her pillowcase dress! She received many compliments that day on her outfit. P.s. For super adorable handmade clothes, check out http://www.izzybonline.com/
Kellyn kept asking if she could touch the tiger. I told her she could kiss it. So smooch away Kellyn on the glass that everyone has touched. Nice.
